چکیده
We investigated the association of anticardiolipin antibodies (aCL) with epilepsy development and characteristics in children. This prospective case-control study included 40 epileptic children sex- age-matched controls. Epileptic had higher levels aCL compared to healthy controls (5.66 ± 5.41 versus 2.37 2.28; p value = 0.001). The novel finding elevated predicted response IVIg therapy (p 0.009). Patients normal EEG lower those abnormal findings 0.015). combined type statistically significant other types 0.046). Also, were correlated seizure frequency 0.019). These results declare possible involvement such onset or pathogenesis epilepsy. Screening for may help timely diagnosis initiation appropriate treatment.

The clinical course and serology of 16 cases of leptospirosis in an area with an unusually high endemic infection rate were studied to gain further insight into the pathology of the secondary immune phase that is typical of the disease. IgG anticardiolipin antibody concentrations were measured by immunoassay and found to be increased in eight serologically confirmed cases with severe complicate...
